Family Centers
are where people feel comfortable asking for assistance. The Centers work with individuals, families, schools and the community. We provide services that build strong families, encouraging them to be active participating
members in their community and help prepare their children to succeed in school.
The Family Centers In Kaneohe And Kuhio Park Terrace Support The Community By Providing:

Services Provided At Both Sites:
Family Center Services
Parents with children receive supportive counseling and case coordination services that build on family strengths and reduce parenting stress. Both sites offer Lifelong Lessons in Financial Management workshops to help families work toward financial stability.
Parental Information & Resource Center (PIRC)
PIRC is a statewide program working with targeted schools, school complexes, faith-based partners, and the State Department of Education to help strengthen parental involvement in schools to improve academic achievement.

Community Technology Center
The Community Technology Center (CTC) is a great place to learn about computers and technology. Practice and a step-by-step approach to learning are the core of training. Above all, diversity of literacy skills and culture is well respected and accommodated every step of the way in learning computer technology. At the end of the course, students gain confidence and selfesteem in their newfound skills. Many students become employed, and get better jobs with their new talents.
Neighborhood Place
The Neighborhood Place of Central Kalihi is a family strengthening program. Counselors share new ideas about parenting and child development. Parents can also learn about stress and anger management, substance abuse, problem solving, and how to help their kids with homework..
Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Trainee Program
The Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program recruits trainees from the local area and teaches them to help and support WIC breastfeeding moms. Breastfeeding builds
strong families in many ways and WIC Peer Counselors give up-to-date information and options to parents for feeding their baby so that they may decide what is right for them.

Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY)
HIPPY empowers parents to be their child's first teacher through use of a wonderful curriculum. Through weekly home visits or group meetings, parents learn how spending
15-20 minutes a day can help their child be ready for school. This program is open to parents or caregivers of three-and four-year-old children in the 96744 area.

Community Works in 96744 is a youth development, drug prevention coalition. The coalition promotes healthy living through community capacity building activities and by
implementing the community-wide 5Rs 96744 campaign, encouraging Respect, Responsibility, Resourcefulness, Relationships and Resiliency values.

KCFC is a community-driven program of Parents and Children Together (PACT), a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) family support agency. KCFC is located at 46-028 Kawa Street #A10, in Kane'ohe on the Windward side of the island of Oahu, Hawaii, and operates as a school-linked Family Center through its partnership with the Hawaii Department of Education, Castle Complex. KCFC offers support to the families and the staff of Kane'ohe's eight (8) elementary schools, King Intermediate, and Castle High School, as well as to individuals and families in the greater community.
Who is the Ulupono Family Program for?
All families living in Kalihi and surrounding neighborhoods are welcome to participate at the Kuhio Park Terrace Family Center (KPT). All families living in the 96744 zip code are welcome to participate at the Kaneohe Community Family Center (KCFC).
Is there a fee?
The Family Centers provide all services free of charge.
